Scripture often talks about "seasons" and the "fullness of time," emphasizing that "time" belongs to God. We may wonder why God seems to move slowly or ignore our busy schedules, but He isn't bound by time like we are.
The Bible shows people crying out, “How long, Lord?”—and we do the same in urgent moments. Think about the 400 years of silence between Malachi and Matthew!
Good doctrine shows that God's timing depends on two things: when people are ready to listen and when God will be most glorified. It's about timing, not just time. Galatians 4:4-5 explains that when the time was right, God sent Jesus to redeem us. Even though we might think there were better times to send Jesus than during the harsh Roman Empire, God's timing is always perfect. Likewise, no matter how urgent our circumstances seem, we should trust Him and lay our worries at His feet.

He will answer in His perfect time. As 2 Peter 3:9 reminds us, “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, but patient.”
